colleague-skill

Your departed coworker, digitally rehired.

Turns a predecessor's docs, coding style, and pet phrases into a Skill that works the way they did — 'digital life 1.0', and the most talked-about project in the whole ecosystem.
23,139 star v0.01(Pre-release,标注 demo) skill / knowledge cloning GitHub

Install

Python 3.9+; a compatible host (Claude Code / OpenClaw / Codex / DeepSeek Harness and others). Known pitfalls (stated in the README): the WeChat data source is currently unstable (an open-source tool is recommended); the free Slack tier only exposes 90 days of history; the DingTalk API cannot pull historical messages; the whole thing is still beta; the quality of the input material directly determines the quality of the Skill.
A Skill: clone the repo into your host agent's skills folder, then restart.
Natural-language install (say this to any host agent)
Install the dot-skill skill for me: https://github.com/titanwings/colleague-skill
Claude Code, project level
mkdir -p .claude/skills git clone https://github.com/titanwings/colleague-skill .claude/skills/create-colleague
Claude Code, global
git clone https://github.com/titanwings/colleague-skill ~/.claude/skills/create-colleague
OpenClaw
git clone https://github.com/titanwings/colleague-skill ~/.openclaw/workspace/skills/create-colleague
Manual directories for other hosts: Codex ~/.codex/skills/dot-skill; DeepSeek Harness ~/.dsh/skills/dot-skill
Dependencies
pip3 install -r requirements.txt

Full tutorial

01Type /create-colleague (or /dot-skill) in the host agent to start
02Pick a character family (colleague/relationship/celebrity) and enter the alias, company hierarchy level, and personality tags
03Choose data sources (Feishu/DingTalk/Slack/WeChat/email/PDF and so on) and import the material
04Once generated, call this "digital colleague" directly with the /{slug} command

Features

·Three character families: colleague / relationship / celebrity, with the celebrity track shipping a subtitle-processing research toolchain
·Multi-source data integration: Feishu, DingTalk, Slack, WeChat, email, PDF
·Generated Skills support version control and rollback and work across 5 kinds of host platform

China's AI scene is on a whole other level. A 'tool that distills your coworker into an AI' is going viral... It's an OSS project called colleague.skill: it collects a coworker's chat history, work documents, and emails, and teaches an AI how that person works. Meaning even after they resign, a 'digital coworker' stays behind. Over 9,000 stars on GitHub.

同事.Skill:把你的同事蒸馏成Skill 把同事的技能与性格蒸馏成 AI Skill,让它替他工作。建议改名叫“同事Kill”,成为Skill后就可以Kill掉了。
Colleague.Skill: distill your coworker into a Skill. It distills a coworker's skills and personality into an AI Skill that does their job for them. Suggested rename: 'Colleague.Kill' — once they've become a Skill, you're free to kill the position.

A viral GitHub project in China called "同事.skill" (Colleague.skill) turns a departing coworker's chat logs, docs, and emails into an AI skill that mimics how they work. Spinoffs appeared overnight: Boss.skill, Mentor.skill, Crush.skill, even Immortality.skill. The joke landed

Looks like we've gone full circle from roleplaying -> coding/useful stuff -> roleplaying again. From my experience, (I still use SillyTavern like it's 2023) making the ai do a persona while also trying to be a coder/etc. is stacking tasks on top of each other which makes it worse at both.

I would read up on this. It's not roleplaying per se. It is doing something useful. Check out that github and the dev alludes to it. "Your colleague quit, leaving behind a mountain of unmaintained docs?" ... That's using this to do useful stuff. Since it effectively gives you a digital twin of your coworker to do useful stuff with.
